Women Ice Angler Project Finds Success on Lake Minnetonka

2020: We merged camping with fishing and spent the weekend living on the ice in hub shelters, fishing Lake Minnetonka in an urban setting. What an experience. Our media partner, 50 Campfires, helped us to reach over 750,000 impressions, our highest number yet. You can see several of their videos here.

Women Ice Angler Project Safe and Successful on Lake Superior's Chequamegon Bay

2019: We had a beautiful lakeside cabin at Mission Springs Resort. Lake Superior was particularly poignant as we returned to the place where team member Hannah Stonehouse Hudson's husband, Jim Hudson lost his life in an ice fishing accident. Here is a story by MPR.


Year 4 is a Wrap! Thank you Otter Tail County!

2018: Otter Tail County is the land of freakishly large pan fish and we were able to find them. Here is a video of Hannah's crappie. We were also joined by special media guests Grass Fed Cinema and they produced this exceptional documentary that was invited to some film festivals.

2017: Mac's Twin Bay was our host and we had a very special guest with us. Ashley Lundvall showed us that even those in an Action Track wheelchair can successfully ice fish. Read Ashley's story in the Women's Outdoor News.

Women Ice Angler Project visits the NW Angle of Lake of the Woods

2015: Sunset Lodge on the Northwest Angle of MN. Our very first year of the project, we drove to the NW Angle and fought frigid temperatures and high winds. We fished for crappies in Canada and caught lots of walleyes. You can see the videos at Outdoor First Media.
